What will come from the talk today between Obama and Calderon?

I know that Obama and Mexican president Calderon had a meeting today and supposedly discussed trucking across the border and the drug war. Other than that, I am confused as to what is going to change. Can someone explain to me, from an unbiased point of view, what exactly was discussed and what do you think will happen as a result of their talk? Is this a positive thing for the U.S.? Is it a positive thing for Mexico? How could this affect the drug cartels? I just want to get a clear understanding of what's going on. Thanks
