Should I move on or give him another chance?

I really love this guy, he's my best friend, even when we break up we still remain friends. We've broken up 7 times. My friend was talking to him, and he admitted he still really liked me and wanted to get back together. I really want too, I'm just not sure whether I can do this without it seeming like I have nobody else to date, or like I'm desperate. I know I'm not, but I'm not sure what to do or say? Thank you. :)
