Girls, what do you think?

just wondering, my ex girlfriend and i have been broken up for alittle over 3 months. we decided to remain friends for we had a very very special bond in our relationship and she said she didnt want to lose me from her life altogether. she has already been dating someone for a couple months now, and lately she has been somewhat ignoring me. I mean, she will initiate the conversation, and then stop replying or take 4+ hours to reply and one of my pet peeves is people who ignore especially when i konw they could be replying. But anyway, should i just tell her its best if we stop talking for awhile until she is really ready to be friends again. how would you feel if your ex said that. would you begin to miss them at all or anything? i know for me it will best but was just wondering how she may feel about it
